Visual Expressions- Watercolors

I am a bit of split personality when it comes to making art. I was painting long before I was photographing and I still make and sell and teach watercolors on a regular basis. My style of painting these days has become very abstract. I call them Intuitive Watercolor Landscapes, quite different from my past architectural watercolors.

I love the way watercolor behaves on paper. It is spontaneous, transparent and unpredictable. Different pigments have different textures and I think it is kind of like opening gifts at Christmas. You never know what will show up as the painting develops.

Often I add other mediums like chalk pastel or pencil or pen and ink. Each painting is unique and not duplicate-able. So here are some of my paintings that I would like to share with you.

Watercolor workshops coming in April- email me for details
