Photography was not my first medium for creating art. I bought my first digital Nikon camera when I was working as a marketing director in San Francisco, I needed to take pictures for websites of food, events and other things for several restaurants I was working for. It didn’t take long for me to get out in the beautiful Northern California landscape and start taking more than photos for work. It was magical and also a bit of instant gratification as I was able to create beautiful Images without paint. One of the first images I was lucky enough to capture in the landscape became a magazine centerfold. This was “Hope Shines Through” from a day trip I took to the Santa Cruz mountains.
I will be adding projects as I can. The first one here is from a solo exhibition in 2013 called “Abandonment Issues”
